Mike Bennett, guitarist and backing vocalist with The Tragedy of Mariam approached me after seeing an advert I had posted on AbsolutePunk.net advertising ElectricKiwi's design services. Mike advised that he was drawn to the style of the website design and was interested in developing a website for his band.
I'm a great believer that bands do need to have websites in order to be taken seriously. Social networks are great, don't get me wrong, but when you're starting out, nothing says you're serious about your music quite like a website does.
Myself and Mike emailed back and forth regularly (The Tragedy of Mariam are based in Canada and I'm in Scotland) and I began drafting design ideas. We certainly seemed to be on the same wavelength and began to develop the final design idea fairly quickly. The whole band were involved with the editing process and were asked for feedback whenever any changes were submitted.
I really enjoyed working on The Tragedy of Mariam's project and would love to work with them again in future. They're great guys and very talented. I predict big things for them.
By working with a five-member band, Ross took on the difficult task of designing a website that would have to be viewed and revised multiple times. Not only did Ross eagerly live up to our expectations, but he surpassed them as well. His designs were both sleek and modern, and he was able to accommodate every suggestion the band had, down to every single detail. Further, Ross has always been available for assistance with content and helping us get comfortable with the process of managing the website on our own. Above all else, Ross' friendly and personable attitude makes him a pleasure to work with.
We are fortunate to have been able to work with Ross and Electrickiwi. In the end we were designed an amazing website that we are all 100% happy with. Ross' turnaround time was incredible, which is a testament to his hard work and dedication. We have already referred several other bands and promotion companies to Ross, and will continue to do so into the future.
